Prospectus


This call for art is open August 15, 2022 at 12:01 AM CST, through October 16, 2022 at 11:59 PM CST.
 
If artists have not previously done so, all entrants must register with ArtCall.org before submitting their work.  Registration and logon links are located in the top right corner of this page.

Submission to the call verifies the artist has read, understands and accepts the terms and conditions of the call.  Those can be viewed by clicking the link at the lower left corner of any page.
 
Artists may submit up to 5 sculptures for consideration.  The submission fee for the first two entries is $25 each.  Additional entries after the first two are discounted at 25% each.
 
Entrants should provide up to 3 high quality color photos of the front, back and side of each sculpture entry, or photos of a maquette.
 
If your work is in progress, then provide a sketch or model of your sculpture.  It must be accompanied with a photo of one or two of your other original sculptures that show a good example of your quality of work.  Be aware the call site only allows you to submit 3 images per entry.
 
Sculptures must be a minimum of 36 inches in height
 
Sculptures must be family friendly subject matter.
 
A stainless-steel plate or steel strips should be securely attached to the bottom of each piece allowing it to be welded to a base for safe display.  Sculpture Trail volunteers and welders with necessary expertise, equipment and manpower will unload and install each artwork and secure it to the assigned display base.
 
Provide an artist’s statement explaining the sculpture.
 
The Sculpture Trail will not accept sculpture entries that are identical to sculptures already installed or to be installed in other similar public art programs within a 200-mile radius of Baytown.  If a sculpture in this circumstance has already been placed in the Sculpture Trail exhibition it will not be eligible for any awards.
 
All sculptures should be made of durable materials for the year long outdoor setting and constructed with safety in mind for display in a public setting.
 
The Sculpture Trail will provide liability and Inland Marine comprehensive insurance on all sculptures.
