The Great Blue Heron
This piece is and sculpted from the bronze sheet and rod. Esther creates a bronze frame from bronze rod and then covers the frame with hand cut bronze feathers. Each feather is welded in three places so this is a very sound structure and withstand outdoor weather easily. Once the piece is done a hand painted heat applied patina brings out the colors of the great blue.
